From snowboarding to a road altercation with the Bishop of Dorchester’s son – meet Silverstone Park’s Ruth Williams who’s rarely short of a tale to tell.
After 22 years in banking, Ruth joined the Park’s management team when developer MEPC took over the estate in September 2013. “Much of my time is spent organising events and working with the companies to put together our social calendar for employees. I love it here – the people are terrific.”
Mum-of-two Ruth’s favourite escape, when possible, is the French Alps. “I already ski but I’m learning to snowboard – I suppose I’m a bit of a speed junkie!”
A wedding on a mountain, swimming with dolphins, selling strawberry donuts on a beach in Greece… life’s been full of experiences so how about the one about the Bishop of Dorchester’s son?
“Well he was a bit naughty, pushing his very expensive bike the wrong way up a road. I was learning to drive and came over the hill – he dived into the hedge; I went into his bike. It cost him a lot of money.”
