Silverstone Technology Cluster launches two new special interest groups

04 August 2017

Digital/Advanced Manufacturing (DAM) and Autonomous, Connected, Electrified & Shared (ACES) vehicles technologies will be the focus of two new Silverstone Technology Cluster special interest group (SIG) meetings in the autumn.

The DAM meeting will be held at horizontal engineering specialist KWSP’s headquarters in Brackley on Tuesday 26 September.

ACES will take place on Thursday 9 November at Silverstone Park’s Innovation Centre.

Both meetings are free to attend for companies of all sizes with expertise in these areas – email STC CEO Pim van Baarsen pim@silverstonetechnologycluster.com to reserve places.

Pim commented: “We’ve already had a terrific response to both these new SIGS and ACES in particular is a really hot topic at the moment – certainly we’re expecting some far-ranging and all-encompassing discussion.

“It’s important to re-emphasise that we want to hear from SMEs and start-up companies just as much as we do the larger organisations.

“The focus at each of these meetings is to bring together groups of people who specialise in these areas to organise some key events such as conferences and forums and take thinking on all these subjects forward.”

And he added: “Undoubtedly groups like these can prove influential and have the potential to help shape Government policy.

“We want the Silverstone Technology Cluster to be strong on thought leadership and ensure, quite rightly, that the region is seen as a leader for the UK in these areas of expertise.”
