Three hundred staff from businesses across Silverstone Park had fun in the sun last week when they attended the technology campus’s annual BBQ.
The event, at maximum capacity, was held at Silverstone University Technology College’s rooftop terrace, with its excellent views of the neighbouring Silverstone Grand Prix circuit.
Jaw-dropping magic tricks from illusionist Jamie Nichols and beats from internationally acclaimed DJ Dre added to the occasion as employees from neighbouring occupiers mingled and caught up with one another.

“We’re delighted with this latest event for our occupiers and the feedback we’ve had says they really enjoyed it.
“Every one of the 300 tickets we made available was taken, so we’ve already started to look at ways to increase capacity next year so that everyone who wants to attend can,” commented Chantal-Lawren Welch, the Park’s Marketing Manager.
“It was great to meet so many of our businesses yesterday and hear more about the types of work they do, ranging from some exciting projects in technology, motorsport and sustainability to specialising in areas such as recruitment and events.
“The spread of expertise in various industries and sectors continues to increase at Silverstone Park, with businesses on site often calling on one another to deliver projects and grow together.
“We want to foster this innovative community even further and we find that social events like this are excellent ways for busy teams to connect in what is hopefully a fun, relaxed and inspiring environment.”
