Major industrial contract for innovative new cleantech design

One of the UK’s largest tower crane suppliers has become the first customer for new industrial energy storage technology designed and assembled at Silverstone Park.

Dumarey Green Power unveiled its Revolution Battery earlier this month, confirming that Falcon Tower Crance Services Ltd as the launch customer.

The Revolution Battery (an industrial business energy storage system or ‘BESS’) incorporates a battery pack which can deliver high amounts of power for a comparatively small amount of energy storage.

This results in a smaller system with much reduced use of battery cells, higher efficiency and lower embedded emissions.

The technology is designed, developed and assembled at Dumarey Green Power’s two premises at Silverstone Park (10,000 sq ft combined) where the company employs 40 people, many of them mechanical and electrical engineers.

Falcon inked a contract to purchase the first production run prior to Vertikal Days (Europe’s largest vertical lifting equipment exhibition held in Nottinghamshire).

The deal extends a collaboration between the two companies, who continue to work together on deploying a fleet of Dumarey Green Power’s Peak Power 200 flywheel power systems into the market.

It is estimated that Dumarey Green Power has deployed around 250 highly durable, flywheel energy storage systems into industrial applications from its Silverstone Park HQ. These have saved in excess of 6.5 million litres of fuel & over 20,000 tonnes of CO2.
