This week marks the first two of three prominent industry events in October at which Silverstone Park will have a significant presence.
Please read on for a more detailed preview of where and when. Each event will give businesses an opportunity to meet the Silverstone Park team, including Marketing Manager Chantal-Lawren Welch.
The events include:
• Motorsport Industry Association CTS24 show inc. Excellence in Business Awards Ceremony, Weds 16-Thurs 17 Oct, Silverstone Wing
• UK Science Park Association’s 40th Anniversary Awards Ceremony, Thurs 17 Oct, University of Warwick
• Advanced Engineering Show, Weds 30-Thurs 31 Oct, Birmingham NEC (co-hosting VIP Lounge with Silverstone Technology Cluster)
As in previous years, Silverstone Park will have its own exhibitor stand at MIA CTS where visitors can learn more about its standing as a ‘campus for innovation’ and why it offers tech businesses one of the best locations in the UK for growth.
Also exhibiting will be occupiers Dumarey Green Power, REIS Insurance and Strathcarron – the first to pounce on three free exhibitor spots offered by the Park as part of its strong ties with the MIA. So will another occupier, Lola Cars, which has just announced it will be present to showcase its 2025 FIA Formula E race car.
The MIA’s ‘Excellence in Business’ awards on the Wednesday evening will also give motorsport business professionals a further opportunity to meet with the Silverstone Park team who will be present there.
Just 24 hours later, on the Thursday evening, the Park will then be present at the UK Science Park Association’s (UKSPA) annual awards ceremony at the University of Warwick.
Excitingly, the Park’s careers programme with local secondary schools is in the running for UKSPA’s ‘Future of Work’ award (see separate article).
Moving to later in the month, the Park returns to Birmingham’s NEC to once more co-host the Advanced Engineering Show’s VIP Lounge with the Silverstone Technology Cluster.
Annually, the event is the largest gathering in the UK of engineering and manufacturing professionals (some 15,000 visitors are anticipated over the two days) and the VIP Lounge is a natural hot spot for businesses to network, make new connections and potentially collaborate.
Complimenting the Lounge is an STC Innovation Zone in which 18 of the network’s members are given space to showcase their businesses.
Silverstone Park will be amongst those businesses exhibiting within the Zone – further enabling itself to promote itself as a campus for innovation to tech businesses – as will occupiers Silverstone Composites and Cosworth.
Both the MIA’s CTS24 event and the Advanced Engineering Show are FREE to attend.
