Silverstone Park, one of the UK’s premier advanced engineering business campuses, has unveiled a new bus service linking Northampton, Towcester and Brackley directly to the Park.
Developed in partnership with Stagecoach and West Northamptonshire Council, this initiative represents a significant advancement in promoting sustainable travel, attracting top-tier talent and fostering continued economic growth throughout the region.
The service will be officially launched during a stakeholder and occupier event on Tuesday 9 September at the Innovation Centre at Silverstone Park. Designed to enhance connectivity, the new route will support the Park’s rapidly expanding community of cutting-edge engineering and technology businesses.
Sebastian Hayes, Silverstone Park representative, said:
“At Silverstone Park, we’re dedicated to providing our occupiers and their teams with access to cleaner, smarter travel solutions. The launch of this new bus service marks a significant step forward in our commitment to building a sustainable and vibrant community.
“In collaboration with Stagecoach and West Northamptonshire Council, we’re proud to introduce a service that not only supports the businesses based here but also contributes to the long-term economic growth of Northamptonshire.”
Cllr Richard Butler, Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport at West Northamptonshire Council, said:
“This new bus route is a fantastic example of how strong partnerships can deliver real benefits for our communities and economy. By improving transport links to Silverstone Park and surrounding areas, we’re not only supporting local businesses and jobs, but also helping to reduce congestion and carbon emissions across the area. We look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have.”
Mark Whitelocks, Stagecoach Midlands’ Managing Director, said:
“Stagecoach buses are a key part of helping to connect people and places in West Northants and these service improvements will provide customers with better connectivity and more reliable journeys.
“We understand the financial challenges we’re all facing with the ongoing cost of living crisis and these enhanced services provide a real alternative for customers when travelling around the region without the need to pay for fuel or excessive car parking charges. We look forward to welcoming customers on-board and we want people to know that when it comes to using the bus in West Northants, we’ve got you.”
The launch event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony, business travel forum, networking lunch, and the opportunity for guests to experience the new bus service first-hand.
