‘Cake-off’ raises £220 for Macmillan

09 October 2018

Silverstone Park’s annual ‘bake-off’ held in aid of Macmillan’s nationwide ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ (28 Sept) raised over £220 for the charity.

As ever staff from occupier businesses did themselves proud with a scrummy selection of prized home-made tasty treats that they’d cooked up being entered into the contest.

The winner this year was Fibonacci Ltd’s Service Director David Curran’s water melon cake with second and third places being awarded to SalesOut Ltd Development Manager Steph George (lemon meringue) and BG Motorsport Ltd Support Manager Jane Midson (iced lemon cake).

The event was the latest to be organised by Silverstone Park’s Social Committee for occupier businesses.

This was followed by the regular Silverstone Park Quiz Night at the Pit Stop Café inside the Silverstone Circuit paddock (narrowly won by Delta Motorsport), and on Friday 19 October the Park will be supporting another fund-raising activity – Wear It Pink (also national) which invites staff to wear an item of pink and donate in support of the ‘Breast Cancer Now’ cause.
