E-commerce business Diva Gift rapidly growing since Silverstone Park move

Innovative e-commerce business Diva Gift says its decision to relocate its operations to Silverstone Park to pursue its growth objectives was fundamental to solidifying its position as a market leader.

The business, founded by Diva Patang – who, from Afghan refugee quickly rose to become an entrepreneurial international influencer – offers a wide range of consumer goods.

Impressive packaging and the offer of high-end items at affordable rates has made Diva Gift predominantly popular with those searching for garden furniture, DIY and home décor.

A dedicated customer-focused partnership with delivery giant DPD means most purchases reach the end customer within 24 hours, as opposed to the more usual five-seven working days.

This, in part, is attributed to Silverstone Park’s central location, which, Diva says, “immensely advances logistical challenges for businesses needing to distribute goods via trunk roads, rail hubs and airports”.

Diva’s premises (which, it says, total some 60,000 sq ft following its final fit-out), together with its impressive height capacity, has enabled the business to install state-of-the-art racking systems so as to truly benefit the ‘air space’ capacity, with almost all of the ground floor being used as a warehouse for stock.

Diva said:

“We’ve used every small space we could possibly use, including using miniature forklifts to make use of the space that our warehouse permits us. We’ve really maximised what we have taken, which is a reflection of the demand for our products.”

“There was a steady but steep incline of our business growth which only reassured our need to expand our operations.

“The Silverstone Park facilities, premises and environment provide us with the space and support we need to continue with our expansion plans.”

Diva’s entrepreneurial instincts and her timing to launch Diva Gifts as an e-commerce business when the Covid pandemic struck were a risk as well as an opportunity.

“Covid indeed elevated many e-commerce companies and, with government restrictions, it left people with no choice but to order online”, she explained.

“Ordering online became a new way of life; many who continue to shop this way post-pandemic and we seized this opportunity by continuing to stock up and serve our customers.”

She also very honestly added:

“We’ve certainly had ups and downs in the first year – we learnt a lot and lost a lot, but it is those failures that have taught us what we know today.”
