Italian firm Alientech, a large player in the automotive aftermarket tuning industry, has chosen Silverstone Park’s Innovation Centre to base its UK arm.
Jo Berry, Alientech UK MD explained:
“The business has thousands of customers globally, but it wants to have a UK branch that understands the UK market.
“UK and Ireland are a big market for the business – the Silverstone Park address doesn’t get much better.
“It’s a world-famous location that adds credibility, and we’re certainly in the right neighbourhood, with lots of businesses on site and in the local area involved in high performance technology and engineering.
The MEPC team in the Innovation Centre couldn’t be more welcoming and the serviced offices we’ve now got here take away a lot of potential headaches.
Alientech’s offices in the Innovation Centre will act as its UK nerve centre with sales, distribution and customer aftersales all handled from there.
Jo added:
“We produce the tooling for aftermarket tuning which enables our customers to read and programme the ECUs (electronic control units) of cars, motorbikes, commercial vehicles and heavy goods vehicles – our products are even used for agricultural and marine vehicles.
“The Alientech K-Suite software used for our tools and accessories is the most user-friendly software on the market and very intuitive.
“Our development team in Italy are continually adding new protocols for the latest systems for powertrain and transmission control units to meet the latest market requirements. There’s so much more to the tuning industry than basic performance upgrades now; it’s a fast-evolving market.”
Alientech’s K-TAG and KESS products are amongst the most advanced on the market, according to Jo, who continued: “It can be a confusing market, but we believe we rank as one of the top brands out there – the software we have developed is very advanced.
“Another advantage to being based in the Innovation Centre is that, when the COVID situation eventually allows, there are also very good facilities here to carry out training which we plan to do.”
