A new blog section – offering people from high tech engineering and manufacturing an opportunity to share their opinions – has been launched on the Silverstone Park website.
Jon Hilton, founder of Flybrid and then, later, President of IMechE, has got the ball rolling with our opening blog.
He has spoken out for greater collaboration between tech companies within the Silverstone Technology Cluster.
Jon’s greatest fears are that if the tech sector’s ‘company vs company culture’ is not overcome then it will miss out on major opportunities now and in the future, both in the UK and globally.
MEPC’s Roz Bird, Commercial Director for Silverstone Park, said: “Jon’s blog asks some really important questions for companies in the Silverstone Technology Cluster and also the wider tech industry…
“Looking ahead, our blogs will offer a real ‘soapbox moment’ for some of high tech engineering’s most exciting characters whether they be inventors, manufacturers or entrepreneurs and representing organisations both large and small. Similarly, we will look to include people from the professional services that support the tech industry such as careers, finance, legal, marketing/PR and recruitment.
“It is thought leadership at its best and we look forward to more of the same in future blogs as our columnists share their thoughts and ideas – something that fits well with MEPC’s vision for Silverstone Park as a global destination for innovation and business development.”
