Occupiers’ coffee morning & bake-off raise money for Macmillan charity
01 October 2019
Over £200 was donated by occupier businesses at Silverstone Park when the estate hosted its annual Macmillan Coffee Morning event.
Seventeen types of cake were on offer for occupier staff to sample in the estate’s Innovation Centre.
As ever, a number of ‘home bakes’ were entered into the event’s ‘bake-off’.
After much debating, judges awarded first prize – a cake stand – to Daniela Dimitrova, a Database Programmer for SalesOut, for her divine banana cake.
Second place and a set of baking cups went to Jane Proud, Manager, BG Motorsport for her autumn muffins.
SalesOut Development Manager Kathy Doughty (measuring spoons) was third with her red velvet cake.
The Macmillan Coffee Morning – one of thousands held during the week in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support – was the latest social event organised by Silverstone Park developer MEPC for occupiers and their staff based at the estate.
The next event is a quiz night on Thursday 10 October in the Pit Stop Café in the neighbouring Silverstone Circuit’s paddock.
A second fundraising activity, Wear It Pink, then takes place on Friday 18 October for all companies and their staff across the estate.
