Just the ticket! Park’s occupiers enjoying Lap Land laser spectacle

17 December 2020

Silverstone Park developer MEPC has given away 150 tickets for businesses located at the estate to enjoy neighbouring Silverstone Circuit’s spectacular ‘Lap Land’ laser display.

Lap Land, new for 2020, got under way this week, with public permitted to drive their vehicles around the full Silverstone Grand Prix circuit which has been given a festive make-over with light displays.

More than 40 businesses based at Silverstone Park have snapped up tickets from MEPC for the experience.

Becky Allen, Client Manager, Zetasafe, enthused: “It was so much better than we had expected, so thank you very much for bringing a little bit of cheer to our lives! I hope they do this again – it’s such a great concept; really impressive and the live radio added to the community spirit. We had an absolutely brilliant time – safe to say the best outing of 2020!”

Jenni Arrowsmith, Reception & Customer Service Assistant, Ducati UK, added: “I went with my eldest daughter Claire and her wife Becca and we had great fun. We wore the Christmas hats, had drinks and snacks, sang along with the radio tunes, laughed along with the presenters on the radio channel and some of the guests, enjoyed driving along the newly named Hamilton Straight, and now Claire wants the tunnel lights for her 30th birthday celebrations!”

“These tickets are a ‘thank you’ to our occupiers after what has been a tough year – they are our community and in fact like a family to us,” explained MEPC’s Ruth Williams, Junior Asset Manager at the Park.

“We’ve really missed being able to put on our social calendar for occupiers in 2020 due to the COVID situation – normally we would have all been meeting up for fun events such as a summer BBQ, fund-raising, pub quizzes and a sports evening.

“So we very much hope these tickets give their staff and their families an exciting time together in the run up to Christmas and look forward to working with each of them in 2021.”
