Business occupiers at Silverstone Park enjoyed the final get together of the year when estate developer MEPC provided the now traditional Christmas pizza lunch at the estate’s Innovation Centre.
Some 120 staff from 24 businesses across the site ate 500 slices of pizza (37 pizzas total) as well as ‘sides’ including 80 chicken strips and 650 wedges. ‘Meat feast’ proved to be the most popular pizza topping, followed by BBQ!
A number of staff then turned their attentions to a new pool table in the Innovation Centre’s contemporary ‘WRaP’ (work, rest and play) area – in response to occupier feedback, this enables visitors to meet and/or catch up on calls and emails in a stylish, lounge environment.
The pizza lunch (CLICK HERE for image gallery) completed Silverstone Park’s social calendar for occupiers in 2019 before the festive break.
“This is an annual gathering and our small way of saying ‘thank you’ to all our businesses and their staff for really adding to the community spirit here,” said MEPC’s Roz Bird, Commercial Director at Silverstone Park.
“That sense of community and mutual regard has always ranked very high on our priorities as we develop the Park.
“So has getting people together and talking, whether through fun social events like this or networking activity for the business community.
“All of the MEPC Silverstone Park team would like to wish our occupiers, their clients and the surrounding business community a very happy Christmas period.”
Meantime the Park’s newly appointed Occupier Liaison & Events Manager Laura Wilde has already started work on 2020’s social calendar.
Beginning on Weds 15 January for six weeks will be a new Yoga & Pilates course.
Five-a-side football (17:30 every Wednesday at Silverstone University technology College) and Wednesday lunchtime walks (from the Innovation Centre) will re-commence straight after the festive break.
