PWR to increase premises & begin recruitment drive as part of European expansion
30 June 2021
Advanced cooling technology giant PWR is preparing to expand its premises at Silverstone Park to recruit more staff in marketing, sales and logistics to service the UK and Europe.
The business is also looking to remotely station CNC machine programmers within its Silverstone facility – either on a permanent basis or prior to immigrating to take up roles at its parent company’s headquarters in Queensland Australia, or its USA facility in Indianapolis.
“We are looking at increasing our office space out onto the mezzanine floor by a further 70%-80%,” commented PWR’s Europe Business Manager Andy Burton.
“CNC machine programmers will, when the Covid situation allows, be offered roles on Australia’s Gold Coast or US Indianapolis facilities along with CNC machinists and TIG welders who we’re also looking to recruit immediately for placing within our global manufacturing group.”
Andy explained that PWR’s decision to locate its European HQ to Silverstone Park in Q3, 2020 had swiftly resulted in “continual and strong growth in all sectors” on the continent.
“That is across motorsport, niche original equipment (such as in low volume, high-end sports/hypercar manufacturers), military and aerospace, and high-powered electronics (heat management systems being used in confined spaces).”
He added: “Part of meeting that increase in demand from those sectors is to invest in human resources.
“The major OE programmes we are involved with are now about to go into full series production, and our business is rapidly expanding in designing and manufacturing thermal solutions for a range of electrification applications.
“That will be reflected by the physical activity and levels of stock you see here at our Silverstone Park base.
“The additional space we are looking to create inside our building here will be to house the additional technical and sales staff to manage this growth.”
“For us as a business, it is very exciting news – another step in our overall global growth.
“Silverstone Park is pivotal to our growth plans in Europe. It gives us the foundations for the next ten years into all European markets.”
