Silverstone Park will be a sponsor of the Motorsport Industry Association’s Energy Efficient Motorsport (EEMS) Conference during Autosport International Show week later this month (Weds 10 January).
The event annually brings together some of the world’s leading experts in vehicle technology development from in automotive and motorsport.
Another of the fixture’s attractions is its networking opportunities with over 250 high-level, cross sector delegates.
MIA CEO Chris Aylett commented: “I am delighted that Silverstone Park are once again partnering the MIA’s Entertainment and Energy Efficient Motorsport Conference in association with AVL RACING.
“We are very grateful to Commercial Director Roz Bird and her team for their on-going support of the MIA.
“There are some great synergies between the focus of EEMS and the expertise of companies located on Silverstone Park; we look forward to welcoming many of these companies to the conference for a thought provoking day of debate, discussion and industry networking.”
Silverstone Park is home to an increasing number of companies operating in futuristic vehicle technologies such as hybrid, electrification and autonomous – as recently highlighted on BBC TV which took its cameras inside Delta Motorsport, Uniti, Danecca and Envision Virgin Racing (Formula E race team) which are all based on site.
Roz Bird said: “Silverstone Park’s impressive facilities and the excitement about the on-going development of the estate as well as its connections to the surrounding Silverstone Technology Cluster make it a premier location for businesses operating in the future of mobility.
“EEMS therefore is a great way to get our networking off to a start in 2019 and we are proud to be associated with this excellent event. The MIA is a close ally of ours and it’s notable that among the EEMS Conference’s speakers will be one of our own businesses, Delta, plus RML Group whose Simon Holloway is a champion of the STC’s influential Autonomous, Connected, Electrified & Shares (ACES) special interest group (SIG).”
