Silverstone Park to support Tech Cluster’s Conference & AES VIP Lounge
15 June 2022
MEPC Silverstone Park has confirmed it is to support both the Silverstone Technology Cluster’s (STC) Annual Conference and its VIP Lounge at the Advanced Engineering Show (AES) later this year.
The Conference – the STC’s showcase event – will take place at The Stables, Milton Keynes on 22 November and Silverstone Park is an avid supporter, having been a founding member of the organisation.
Further support for the event will come from Hexagon, which manages the Silverstone Park Metrology Facility.
Since its inception in 2017, the Conference has attracted a full house of professionals from the worlds of advanced engineering, manufacturing, digital, electronics and software development, as well as key figures from industry and government.
Last year’s event featured Amazon Web Services and BAE Systems amongst its guest speakers.

The Advanced Engineering Show is the UK’s leading annual advanced manufacturing and supply chain event and in 2022 will once more be held at NEC Birmingham, on 2-3 November.
Since 2018, the STC has put its name to the event’s VIP Lounge in partnership with Silverstone Park (STC member MPA will add further support in 2022).
The Lounge is a prime location for professionals from the worlds of advanced engineering, manufacturing, digital, electronics and software development to gather and network, as well as discuss their business needs with the STC and MEPC.
Adding to the Lounge’s appeal is an STC Innovation Zone which gives a number of the organisation’s members the opportunity to showcase their specialisms.

MEPC Senior Asset Manager Chris Sills commented: “One of the key drivers behind us helping found the STC was its potential for networking and collaboration amongst the high-tech industries.
“The STC’s Annual Conference and high-profile presence at AES deliver in achieving both and we look forward to meeting the high-tech communities during these events.”
STC CEO Pim van Baarsen said: “It’s great to have support for these two flagship events – MEPC and Silverstone Park have played such a pivotal role in the STC success story since the organisation first launched.
“We are also excited by a new venue for our Conference which we believe will enable us to take the event to the next level in terms of speakers and audience engagement, whilst building on our significant presence at AES.
“We look forward to bringing industry together at both fixtures and further delivering for our membership in terms of networking, opportunity and collaboration.”
