National and local letting agents have responded with approval to MEPC’s latest industrial development at Silverstone Park after a tour of two of the scheme’s properties.
Visiting agents received a detailed tour of Unit 1134 and Unit 1136 which remain available to let.
They also received further insight into Silverstone Park’s business offering from MEPC’s Commercial Director Chris Kimber-Nickelson and Asset Manager Ruth Williams.
Unit 1134 totals 48,117 sq ft and Unit 1136 90,391 sq ft, each comprising smart reception areas, 10m clear height warehouse areas and generous service yards.
Their two sister properties, constructed at the same time, have quickly been occupied by advanced engineering businesses Lunaz and KW Special Projects.
Jon Silversides of appointed local agent Carter Jonas commented:
We were delighted to welcome local, regional and national agents to Silverstone Park to show them these latest speculatively built units (1134 and 1136) and to discuss future development plans.
“We received very positive feedback from agents, particularly from those who had not been to the Park in recent times, who were blown away by the scale of development undertaken.”
Appointed national agent DTRE’s Ollie Withers said:
“It’s a very exciting time in the Silverstone Park development programme, with the latest phase of four new build developments complementing the previous developments.
“This launch allowed us to promote the availability and quality of the two available units and also update national agents on the potential next phases of development on the park.”
Both properties (1134 and 1136) have been designed to achieve a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating and also have EPC (energy performance certificate) ‘A’ ratings.
Furthermore, they have enhanced thermal insulation and highly efficient building services, including:
• Air source heat pumps providing heating and cooling to core areas
• Domestic hot water generated from the heat pump system
• Heat recovery mechanical ventilation to the core area & LED lighting.
EV charging points (infrastructure at 1134; installed at 1136) and covered cycle storage add to the environmental credentials for prospective occupiers.
David Beckett of SRA Architects which oversaw design of the properties explained:
“There is a very good level of natural lighting, too, throughout the warehouse areas.
“The structural frames are also upgraded to enable occupiers to install PV (solar) panels if they wish to generate electricity.
“Externally, a lot of thought has been put into providing good amenities such as nature trails and seating/picnic areas for businesses and their employees to enjoy.”
