From a summer BBQ to a quiz night, sports day and a fund-raising bake-off, there are plenty of social activities for Silverstone Park occupiers and their employees to look forward to over the coming months.
The fun begins on Wednesday 19 July when, going by last year’s figures, around 300 employees from businesses at Silverstone Park are expected to attend an occupiers’ annual summer BBQ.
As ever, this will be held on the Silverstone University Technical College’s balcony with its stunning views overlooking the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit. Music and games will add to the atmosphere.
Fast forward and, back by popular demand, our occupiers’ sports day event (17:30-20:00) will return on Thursday 7 September.
With events such as welly wanging, penalty shoot-out and tug-o-war lined up, the evening is sure to provide plenty of thrills and laughs.
Later in the month (Thurs 28 Sept), occupiers are invited to join Silverstone Park’s Macmillan Coffee Morning in raising funds for the Macmillan Cancer Support charity. As ever, they are also welcome to enter their own home bakes into a bake-off.
Up next on Weds 18 October is a quiz night with a twist as Silverstone Park based Lunaz welcomes fellow occupiers through the doors of its impressive electric vehicle upcycling plant after kindly offering to host the event.
A further fundraising event then follows on Thurs 26 October when occupiers are encouraged to don a splash of pink and donate to the Wear It Pink campaign in aid of the research and support charity Breast Cancer Now.
