Silverstone Park business occupiers received valuable airtime on BBC Radio Northampton when the broadcaster visited for a look-back at MEPC’s first decade as developer of the estate.

Delta Cosworth, Silverstone Composites and PUNCH Flybrid each enjoyed around four minutes on the station in interviews with their managing directors Simon Dowson and Marcus Trofimov, and Sales Co-ordinator Claire Waterson, respectively.

These were played around a live interview with developer MEPC’s Chris Kimber-Nickelson (Commercial Director). In addition, edited clips were included in the station’s half-hour news bulletins during presenter Annabel Amos’s Breakfast Show.

Chris commented: “We’re grateful to the BBC for taking the time to interview our occupiers and ourselves and reflect on the remarkable transformation at Silverstone Park over the past ten years.

“This was a golden opportunity to remind a sizeable audience of how important the Park has become in terms of local jobs and skills and as an important, global location for the UK’s tech industry and its many sectors.”

Marcus added: “It was great to be included as part of BBC Radio Northampton’s look at MEPC’s first ten years at Silverstone Park.

“The airtime we received on such a prestigious media outlet is very valuable as it enabled us to showcase our abilities in carbon fibre manufacturing and treatment for Formula 1 and space to a large audience.

“Thank you to Silverstone Park for setting this up and I know other occupiers have benefited from this and previous coverage that it has achieved with the big local broadcasters – an added bonus of being located at the park!”

This was the latest Silverstone Park-related feature by BBC Radio Northampton in 2023 – earlier in the year it visited occupier OxDrive’s/Performance Projects’ premises to learn more about its electric drive hub technology.
