Network’s tech business events to start at Silverstone Park

News / 25 Jan 2024

A networking breakfast plus two mornings – one dedicated to future mobility, the other to design, simulation and metrology – all at Silverstone Park are among the Silverstone Technology Cluster’s opening events of 2024.

Networking Breakfast
On 6 February, the STC will hold its opening Networking Series event of the year, inside Silverstone Park’s Innovation Centre.

The event is an invitation for tech professionals to gather, hear from experts in the field of future mobility and to network.

Future of Mobility
On 15 February, the STC’s Future Mobility special interest group (SIG) will then meet at Silverstone Park’s Innovation Centre (inside STC member Hexagon’s premises) for an in-depth look at the barriers and issues preventing or slowing the adoption of new, smart technologies in the automotive industry. The event is titled ‘What’s Stopping Us?’

Whilst 17 events are currently listed on the STC website, more will appear in the coming weeks and months, including details about the organisation’s presence at the Advanced Engineering Show (30-31 Oct) and its Innovation & Growth Conference (date TBA).

A number of networking events from the recently formed High Performance Coffee Club – run jointly by the STC and members NS85 and Park-based Silverstone Composites – also appear on the calendar.

Silverstone Park is a founding member of the STC which was formed seven years ago to support and promote the region’s vast high-tech business activity.

Promotion, Support and Thought Leadership were named as the organisation’s three main strands until, in November last year, a fourth was added – Skills, to help address the skills gap in engineering and manufacturing.
