Soren Motorsports launches unique race driver development programme at Silverstone Park

Soren Motorsports, a recently launched racing driver development company with a distinct difference, has chosen Silverstone Park as the home of its first premises.

Uniquely, the business is built around an ‘all in’, single driver management programme (rather than a roster of them), allowing founder Oliver Richards to concentrate every resource exclusively on one young racer in his quest to reach Formula 1.

That focus is on 16-year-old American driver Dean Pedersen. He only started karting at 14, putting him close to a decade behind many of his rivals.

“The gap is huge,” said Oliver. “That’s why the programme is intense. He has to make up eight years of lost time, and that means absolute focus from everyone involved.”

Oliver leads a network of experts in fitness, nutrition, racecraft, race car build and preparation, data and logistics.

“There are so many young drivers with the budget but not the guidance,” he commented.

“When you commit to one programme, everything becomes sharper – no distractions, no split priorities.”

The approach is clearly working with Pedersen – despite his relative lack of experience – having recently achieved a breakthrough podium in the high-profile Italian F4 championship, backed up by similar results in Central European and Spanish F4 and competitive pace in USF1000.

The Soren model grew from Oliver’s years working with drivers across Asia, Australasia, North and South America and Europe, and from running race operations at every level.

Oliver reflected:

“In one year I was managing seven drivers and flew 140 times. We won races and championships, but the workload was insane.

“When the Pedersens asked if I would work exclusively with Dean, I jumped at the chance. It’s proven how much more you can achieve when all the energy goes into one driver.”

Since opening at Silverstone Park in January 2026, Soren has fitted out its 7,200 sq ft workshop premises to prepare Pedersen’s race and test cars before shipping them to circuits across Europe and the USA.

The business also collaborates with fellow Silverstone Park occupiers, including the National College for Motorsport and supply chain specialists Competition Supplies, Trident Racing Supplies, Earl’s and Black N Rounds.

Three of the College’s student technicians have joined the business and are “flourishing”, contributing to race car preparation, data work and workshop operations.

“They’ve been outstanding,” added Oliver.

“Silverstone Park gives us access to talent and expertise you simply don’t find anywhere else.”
