Silverstone Park business occupier Dumarey Flybrid’s innovative work in clean energy technology has been further recognised with three high-profile industry awards.
The company achieved a clean sweep of awards at the Engineering Matters Awards held within the Cutty Sark at the Royal Museums, Greenwich in central London.
Gold and silver ‘Net Zero Champion’ awards, plus a silver ‘Innovation Champion’ award, were presented to Dumarey Flybrid engineer Oluwaseun Orimogunie for its recent cleantech projects with Select Plant Hire, John F Hunt Power, Everun and izon live.
These were for innovating in flywheel power storage for construction cranes and achieving smooth power delivery from wind turbines.
Dumarey Flybrid MD Tobias Knichel commented: “Thank you to each of our partners for vouching for us and also congratulations to them in supporting proven innovation and net zero technology such as ours.
“We are delighted to have received these three awards – the trophies look great in our cabinet back at our Silverstone Park premises. This is a team effort – the entire Dumarey Flybrid workforce should be very proud.
“Dumarey Flybrid products have now saved more than four million litres of diesel and more than 10,000 tonnes of CO2 on hundreds of construction sites in the UK – all coming from our base at Silverstone Park.”
