Woodcote & Copse completes Silverstone Park expansion into new 20,000 sq ft unit

Automotive specialist Woodcote & Copse (formerly Lotus Silverstone) has significantly increased its presence at Silverstone Park after expanding into a new 20,000 sq ft industrial unit.
Combined with its retained 10,000 sq ft original facility, the business now operates across 30,000 sq ft on the campus.
Woodcote & Copse provides servicing, repairs, vehicle sales and dedicated brand studios for iconic marques including Lotus, Caterham, Subaru, Morgan, Alfa Romeo and Norton Motorcycles.
The expansion reflects sustained growth and the arrival of two new brands, as Managing Director Matthew Haskins explains:
“We needed more space to handle more vehicles through the workshop and the showroom. Taking on two new brands is not a lightweight task, and the expansion allows us to do it properly.”
The business’s original 10,000 sq ft building remains the operational heart of the business, now with increased workshop capacity and new Norton servicing areas.
Norton, under new ownership by TVS, is preparing for a full relaunch, bringing modern engineering to a marque with more than a century of history. Alfa Romeo also joins the line‑up, strengthening what Matthew describes as a very particular type of portfolio.
“Our expertise is in low‑volume, high‑customer‑experience products,” he says.
“These are passionate brands with real heritage. Even Subaru is niche in its own way. Each has been cutting edge in terms of engineering over the decades and that continues today – Lotus, for example, are absolutely class‑leading in terms of battery and motor technology.”
The new 20,000 sq ft building has undergone a striking transformation since Woodcote & Copse took over the keys. Working with architects, the team has created a premium environment built around individual manufacturer studios, each with its own identity.
Matthew adds:
“We asked ourselves how Selfridges would represent these iconic automotive brands.”
Four‑metre‑high studio walls rise into the building’s 10‑metre roof space, giving each brand room to breathe, while the company’s signature blue ties the space together. A stylish new customer lounge and café area completes the experience.
The rebrand from Lotus Silverstone to Woodcote & Copse reflects this broader portfolio and the business’s deep connection to the neighbouring world‑famous Silverstone Circuit.
