We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Lord Vallance, Minister of State for Science, Research and Innovation, to Silverstone Park – a great opportunity to showcase the innovation and collaboration happening here.
The visit formed part of a wider engagement with the Silverstone Vision 2035 Partnership – a collaborative initiative between Silverstone Park, Silverstone Circuit, West Northamptonshire Council and Buckinghamshire Council. Together, the partnership is focused on driving sustainable growth, investment, and long-term opportunity across the region.
While the day included a wider tour of the Silverstone site, including a visit to the Silverstone Museum, Silverstone Park was at the heart of demonstrating how this vision is already being delivered in practice. Rather than just talking about innovation, we were able to bring it to life.
A key part of the visit was spending time with some of our occupiers, including the Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub and Applus+ 3C Test. From advanced aerodynamics shaping elite sport to highly specialised testing supporting the automotive and defence sectors, it gave a real sense of the breadth and depth of expertise based here at the Park.
The visit also highlighted the scale of growth taking place across Silverstone Park, including the rapid expansion of the Cadillac Formula 1 Team, which has established its UK base here and is playing a key role in strengthening the Park’s position as a global centre for high-performance engineering.
Marketing Manager for Silverstone Park, Chantal-Lawren Welch said of the visit:
“It’s not just about providing space – it’s about creating an environment where businesses can connect, collaborate, and engage with the right stakeholders.
“Welcoming figures like Lord Vallance gives our occupiers the opportunity to showcase their work, share insights and contribute to wider conversations around innovation, investment and growth – particularly across the Oxford–Cambridge Growth Corridor.”
As Silverstone Park continues to grow, it continues to open up new opportunities for the businesses based here, from visibility and collaboration through to engagement with key industry and policy stakeholders.
