Victory in Monaco & Formula E lead for Park based Envision Racing

Case Studies / 9 May 2023

Silverstone Park-based team Envision Racing celebrated a famous race victory around the Monaco Grand Prix circuit at the weekend to take the lead of the FIA Formula E World Championship.

Its New Zealand driver Nick Cassidy took the win and his points, combined with those of his team-mate Sebastien Buemi who finished in eighth, means Envision Racing now sensationally heads the Formula E teams’ standings.

Cassidy, who won the previous round in Berlin, Germany leads the drivers’ table.

NIO 333 Racing, which is also located at Silverstone Park, also enjoyed a strong race around the streets of Monte Carlo with its British driver Dan Ticktum finishing sixth.

This underlined the strong form shown by Ticktum in Berlin where he had led briefly.

Formula E is the world’s premier motor racing championship for all-electric cars which use cutting edge battery technology.

Envision’s and NIO 333’s respective premises at Silverstone Park are used to build their Formula E race cars and also house IT-heavy simulators and ‘mission control’ centres which link live with engineers and strategists to analyse and act on data during races.

Envision located to Silverstone Park in 2017 when it took occupancy of an 11,000 sq ft industrial property.

NIO 333 joined it at the estate in 2021 with a new 12,400 sq ft facility

Both teams place sustainability high on their agendas and have earned awards from the FIA, the governing body of global motorsport.

In 2021, Envision had a high-profile role at the global climate COP26 conference in Glasgow.
