The ERT Formula E Team, located at Silverstone Park, celebrated its best result yet in the FIA Formula E World Championship in Italy as it narrowly missed out on the podium champagne celebrations.

The team’s British driver Dan Ticktum achieved a fourth placed finish in the first of two races. In the second, his ERT team-mate, Sergio Sette Camara gave the team more cheer by finishing a highly competitive sixth.

Ticktum’s fourth place was the team’s best result in Formula E under its current organisation.

Combined, the results meant ERT was the fifth highest scoring team at the event, at the Misano circuit on the Adriatic coast.

They have also helped elevate ERT to ninth in the Formula E team’s championship table, right behind Silverstone Park neighbour Envision Racing in eighth.

Eleven teams, many with the direct technical support of OEMs, compete in FIA Formula E – the world’s premier and most advanced motor racing formulae for fully-electric cars.

Both ERT and Envision next race in Formula E on the streets of the world-famous Monaco Grand Prix circuit on 27 April. During each race weekend, both their Silverstone Park bases are linked to their crews in the pit lane to help assess real-time data and improve performance.

Deputy Team Principal Russell O’Hagan commented: “Misano was a weekend of highs and lows, but where we learnt from our mistakes very quickly to perform in the races and come away with a really strong points haul.

“A big thank you to the drivers and team for facing those challenges head on and for shining when it counts. I am really proud of everyone and what we continue to achieve as a group.”
