Case Studies / 18 Oct 2023

KW Special Projects (KWSP) and Delta Cosworth, both located at Silverstone Park, were amongst the big winners at the Motorsport Industry Association’s 2023 awards.

Each won a high-profile Business of the Year award – KWSP for a company with annual sales under £5 million and Delta Cosworth with sales over £5m.

Collecting the awards were their founders and managing directors, Kieron Salter and Simon Dowson, respectively.

The MIA’s annual awards recognise excellence amongst technology businesses operating in motorsport or which have transferred their skills from the sector to achieve success in other the areas.

Silverstone Park, which won an MIA ‘Services to the Industry’ award in 2022, was also amongst the audience. The Park supported the MIA’s corresponding CTS23 show as an exhibitor along with three of its other occupiers, Competition Supplies, NICAB and Solid Solutions.

Developer MEPC’s Ruth Williams (Asset Manager) commented:

KWSP, which located to new industrial premises at Silverstone Park in 2022, is a ‘skunk works’ for OEMs and has become a key player in niche vehicles and hypercars. Its sister company, the Digital Manufacturing Centre, is also at the estate.

Meanwhile, Delta Cosworth is the electrification and system integration specialist within the world-famous Cosworth Group and now occupies four premises at Silverstone Park.
