Thanks for disadvantaged children’s Easter egg donation

News / 21 Mar 2024

Kind-hearted Silverstone Park business occupiers have donated 140 chocolate eggs in time for Easter for disadvantaged children and families across Northamptonshire.

The eggs were collected and distributed by Jeanette Walsh, also known for over two decades as the county’s ‘Easter Bunny’ and ‘Mother Christmas’.

All eggs have gone to children under the watch of the Northamptonshire Children’s Trust (NCT) – to add to the 6,500 collected to date in 2024 by Jeanette from across the county.

Jeanette commented: “It’s absolutely fantastic and I’d like to say a big thank you to all those people at Silverstone Park who donated – it means so much to children and families.”

She added: “To give an example of what they mean, I had one lady from Daventry contact me to say she’ll be able to do an Easter egg hunt for her children – they lost their father in an accident last year and this is what he always did for them.”
