Keir Starmer speaks at Lunaz

Sir Keir Starmer has visited Silverstone Park to deliver his latest speech as Leader of the Labour Party.

Sir Keir gave his speech – shown live on national television – inside the vehicle electrification specialist Lunaz’s vast 100,000 sq ft premises.

Present in the audience were members of the Lunaz workforce, plus journalists from some of the UK’s biggest media titles such as the BBC, ITV, Sky, Guardian, Sun, Mirror, Times and Express.

Sir Keir’s appearance at Lunaz came four years to the day since the 2019 General Election.

Providing the backdrop were Lunaz’s electrified refuse trucks which are to be used by Buckinghamshire Council and also national refuse collection operator Biffa.

On taking to the stand, Sir Keir commented: “It is really great to be here in Silverstone, famous across the globe as a symbol of British innovation, ingenuity and speed… and not just in Formula 1.

“Also, for the electrification of slightly bigger vehicles that you can see behind me – those trucks here at Lunaz, a world leader in upcycling vehicles for the clean energy transition.”

Sir Keir’s appearance marked the latest visit to Lunaz by a public figure. Recently, comedian Jack Whitehall filmed a promotional video for the business inside its factory. Football legend David Beckham has also visited, having invested in the company.
