Envision Racing, a leading team in the world’s premier electric motor racing category, FIA Formula E, and based at Silverstone Park played a highly visible role during the COP26 climate challenge conference which caught the attention of UK leaders.

It helped raise awareness of rapid action against single-use plastic pollution by promoting the Kids Against Plastic campaign’s scale replica Formula E model car made entirely from recycled plastic.

The model, dubbed ‘Recover E’, had significant impact with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson taking a close look before it was featured on the BBC’s The One Show.

In addition, in collaboration with technical partner Johnson Matthey, the team launched the first two-seater Formula E car which features pioneering battery technology – namely JM’s advanced eLNO® cathode material technology.

This drew further major exposure, with BBC News taking a closer look and interviewing Team Principal Sylvain Filippi (CLICK HERE for the footage).

ITV News political reporter Robert Peston was another to the advantage of Envision Racing’s two-seater car to broadcast to his followers (CLICK HERE).

Others to be seen with either Recover E or the two-seater car included secretaries of state Kwasi Kwarteng (Department of Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy) and Nadine Dorries (Digital, Culture, Media & Sport).
