Major property award for Silverstone Park developer MEPC’s CEO James Dipple

23 April 2018

James Dipple, Chief Executive of Silverstone Park developer MEPC, has been announced as Property Leader of the Year at the prestigious Oxfordshire Property Festival.

The Festival, highly regarded in UK property development circles, was held at the University of Oxford’s Bodleian Libraries and hosted jointly by UK Property Forums and the Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership. BBC Arts Editor Will Gompertz compered the event.

The accolade recognised James’s integral contribution to the success of the Oxfordshire property market over 20 years and also the effort he has invested in helping colleagues with their own goals and aspirations.

James joined MEPC in 2008 as a main Board Director before being appointed Managing Director for its Milton Park (Oxford) and Silverstone Park estates and then, in 2014, as its CEO.

He continues to play a highly active role at both sites and works closely on developments at Silverstone Park with Roz Bird, MEPC’s Commercial Director there…

James commented: “I was delighted to receive this award and thank the panel for selecting me for such a prestigious recognition of many years work in the region. It would not have been possible to win this award without the continued hard work and commitment of the whole MEPC team, so receiving this highlights our success at Milton Park here in Oxfordshire.

“By continually developing the Park to create the best possible facilities, we aim to ensure that our occupiers are always front of mind and we create the best environment for the optimum work/life balance.

“MEPC brings innovative thinking to its real estate. The experience we have derived from our involvement at Milton Park can be seen in some of the finest globally significant development projects in the UK at locations such as Silverstone Park, Wellington Place Leeds and NOMA in Manchester.”

Meanwhile OxLEP Chief Executive Nigel Tipple was quick to praise James. He explained: “For me, as Chair of the Judges, James has always had clarity about the MEPC and Oxfordshire ‘offer’ which is incredibly powerful.

“Too often people fudge their vision about their property developments but with James there is always a clear marketing message and understanding of what the building product and tenant mix is.

“This is reflected in the success of Milton Park as well as the success of the whole MEPC brand which he runs as CEO. A big job for anyone…”

Roz Bird added: “Many congratulations to James – his award is richly deserved. MEPC is very fortunate to have a CEO with such passionate thinking when it comes to property development which is helping Silverstone Park to stand out as a global business destination for high tech, innovation and business development.”
