Coming soon! Silverstone Park to launch commuter bus service

News / 4 Mar 2024

Silverstone Park is soon to introduce a commuter bus service for employees of businesses at the estate, travelling from Milton Keynes. A second bus service for employees travelling from Northampton is also being planned.

The Milton Keynes service will be in partnership with Zeelo – a specialist in commuting solutions – and is expected to start running in March.

Employees will be able to register to use the service through a dedicated app which will also provide details of the bus’s route, pick-up points and timings.

MEPC’s Chris Kimber-Nickelson, Commercial Director at Silverstone Park, commented: “We’re really excited to be launching this bus service for people travelling to their place of work at Silverstone Park.

“As we have developed Silverstone Park over the last decade, so the needs of our occupiers have evolved.

“We listen carefully to what they say and a bus service is something that many occupiers who took part in our recent Travel Survey listed as a preference.

“Consider that around 1,500 people now work in businesses at Silverstone Park – that’s five times more people than in 2013/14 – so how people commute has become of greater importance.

“‘Thank you’ to both Zeelo and Buckinghamshire Council in working with us to bring this service to the businesses at Silverstone Park.”

Further details about the bus service – plus an official launch event at Silverstone Park – will be released in the near future.
